after talking with the inorganic beings, i made my way outdoors. it appeared that i was in a yard full of children having a barbeque. it was twilight outside - which is a time i feel particularly connected with. although my dream seems fairly stable, i'm not sure how long it will last. i look at my hands, etc.... then i decide to call on dreamways. i was really excited to see what would happen. i stretched my arms up to the sky and called "____!" and immediately i heard a crow cawing behind me, up in the sky. a bunch of them were high up in the sky. one bird was darting down at me. it was tiny, grayish black, with piercing bluish grey eyes - i thought it was like a sparrow. i asked him to take me to don juan, but it almost was if i didn't have to ask. almost before i got the words out, the little bird bit me on my left forearm - it was a very hard little nip - and then i sensed that it was trying to pull me with it. i looked right in his eyes and laughed - it felt good to see him. i was too heavy and i knew that i needed to get off the ground, so i did that. once i was in the air, i went upside down, legs over head (for some reason, my dreaming body realllly likes being upside down). then, we were flying super fast.... the bird was like lightning. we were zooming along what seemed like orange and gray lines or wisps of cloud. the feeling was amazing. i was so happy to know that i was going to see both of them together - don juan and dreamways. i closed my eyes to enjoy the ride and of course, i lost the dream...... i woke up still with my forearm hurting from the bird's little beak. the pinching hold it had on my arm was the only uncomfortable part of the whole experience - next time, i'll remember to keep my damn eyes open

notes to self: keep mind empty... i think i keep falling out of dreams because i am always concerned they are going to end... be confident and relax and they are sure to last longer. next time try the twin positions to make the dream last longer before you call to dreamways. using magic words in dreaming has immediate effects and seems to result in the feeling that you have brought another active element into the dream - that there is now a bigger "x" factor.
