had a lucid dream last week in which i was standing in my father's backyard. there was really no one around but me and the trees. i asked out loud if anyone present was an inorganic begin, and immediately, the lights went out in the dream. it was as if it was nighttime. there was a glowing with a strange high-pitched noise emitting from one of the trees in the yard. i thought to myself how convenient things had turned out - that it was going to be obvious where the energy was coming from. i walked towards the glowing and the noise, and found that it seemed to be coming from one of the trees. there was a band of light on it, about five and a half feet off the ground. this band seemed to be present even in the place where the tree forked. it went straight through the tree, and it was about three inches wide, with thicker edges. the light on the edges was more intense than the light in the middle. i could see the band stretching through the open space of the fork in the tree. it was like a bridge of light, and when i looked closely, it was hissing and refracting light like a spectrum. it was giving off heat. i wanted to touch it, so i reached out my right hand and put it through this band. it stung me, like a bee sting. i pulled my hand back, surprised at how hot and laser-like it was. i looked around and noticed that all of the trees had a band such as this one. suddenly the light in the dream changed back and it seemed to be daytime again.
